Overview
A Stranded Spark is a small-scale cozy indie adventure centered around exploration, discovery, and relaxing gameplay. I was responsible for creating the game's complete audio identity, including sound design, environmental ambience, and audio implementation, carefully shaping a sonic world that complements its charming art style and peaceful atmosphere. The main challenge was creating audio that naturally accompanies the player without ever demanding attention, making every interaction feel warm, expressive, and rewarding while allowing exploration and gameplay to remain at the forefront. To reinforce the game's playful personality, I embraced a more tonal and melodic approach to sound design, drawing inspiration from the expressive audio language commonly found in classic family-friendly adventure games. Through subtle environmental details, gentle feedback, and carefully balanced ambiences, the sound quietly enhances the experience, reinforcing the game's sense of comfort, curiosity, and immersion without ever distracting from it.
